VEPR: Accurate enough for hunting?

I am looking for a reliable hunting rifle in .308, that is around $600 or less, has a higher capacity than the 3-4 rounds most hunting rifles have, and is semi-automatic. The VEPR seems to fit the bill. My question concerns its accuracy. I've read that it is the most accuate AK variant, but AK's aren't exactly known for their accuracy. They are known for reliability, which I like, especially considering that I am looking for a semi-automatic. So, how accurate is it? Thanks in advance for any replies.

10 rounds in a baseball sized target at 100 yards
