the .308 Vepr has a nonstandard magazine
i think the catch at the front is different from any other AK.
this is the reason it is the only russian semi imported. The VEPR 7.62x39m and the .223 will prolly have the same unique mag

The mag incompatibility is the reason why they are ATF approved. Same story for the new Romanian AK's.

is vepr legal in NJ? I am really interested in this rifle
well theres 2 tests:

Any magazine with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds is prohibited, even if there is no semi-automatic firearm to accompany the magazine.
that looks like the 10 round mag gets the gun into NJ
