Vehicle Holster/Mount

Hey guys. I appreciate your help on my earlier thread. I went with the Kahr CW 45. Now, I need some advice on carrying in the car. I drive A LOT and would like some kind of rig/mount to put in my car so I don't have to physically wear my gun on my trips. I don't know if anyone make a console holster or anything of that nature, but I need something. Sitting on your pistol for 5 to 6 hours a day is not going to be comfy.......I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks guys!

I am looking for something similar as well. I'm in sales and travel a lot, to seedy places on occasion. I'd like something like the above for my Jeep when I'm way out, but something a bit more concealed for my day to day travels for work.

I'll keep posted. Thanks!

I have a holster mounted between the console and the drivers seat of the car, though when im not in my vehicle it remains empty i usually just take my Commander out of my IWB and put it in the holster for easier access in my vehicle. ive practiced drawing with my Commander unloaded and have found it to be a much faster draw in my IWB while seated...

I also keep a high point 9mm mounted under the seat permanantly mainly because if my car got broken into and my gun stolen i would be alot less angry then if one of my other handguns were taken.

I've been waithing to post this.

Keep in mind that in most states, North Carolina for sure, the permit is for concealed carry. If the wrong law enforcement officer sees your handgun you are in for a mess. Some law enforcement do not like CCPs, and you won't know which one until it is too late. I keep a jean jacket in my pick-up to cover my larger (S&W 686, belt and holster) rig, as I carry it often. Keep deep cover as well on person, and I carry
2-3 knives at all times. My Navaho friends call me Two Knives.

like stated before, depending on the size you can get a small/large pocket carry case that can be easily mounted with velcro. Otherwise, get a durable canvas case that can be mounted or rest in the center console.

Gumcreek,

I like your design. However, I went out to my Saab and it won't work in this car. It would fit in my truck but I don't drive it enough to justify the purchase. Are you working on any other designs?

vehicle mount

Thanks for the welcome Carne. Still trying to figure out how to quote. :D

Old shooter, we are working on a concealment cover for the vehicle mount, but not certain when that will be ready yet. A few other concepts as well for vehicle and home use. Right now we are focused on fulfilling orders for the mount. The mount will work in most vehicles, but I'm sure there are some it will not fit like your Saab, which is why we ask you upfront to check for the gap, etc. We tried to make it as universal as possible, believe me, without having to mount hardware and all that. If you would like to send me a pic, I'd be happy to look at it and see if I can work something out for you. Our customers are diverse in what they drive, but I'd say the majority are truck owners.
