Just testing the waters, we are considering putting on a 2 or 4 man team 24 hr varmint contest centered in Amarillo within the next 2 months. Still putting things together at the moment. Looking to see if there may be any interest, sponsors, etc. The initial plan is $25 per person, payout for top 3 places. If sponsors can be drawn together, there may be additional prizes. Please post if interested, we are looking at a weekend in mid to late March.

You gonna' have maps of the particapating ranches? We are talking calling coyotes yes? Post more specifics please. Areas gonna be assigned to teams or is it first come first there? What are Texas state laws on transporting firearms?

For those interested, there is a coyote/bobcat calling contest in Matador, TX (west of Paducah, NE of Lubbock) sat. Jan 28-29. We are still trying to get things set up for the April 1 contest.

Sorry I have not posted more, on the April 1 gig, we are still trying to find sponsors and local land owners willing to donate hunting grounds for you out of towners. But yes, it is calling only, no road hunting, trapping, or road kills...Texas laws on transporting firearms, very open, but for specific questions look them up, I'm no kinda lawyer.
