Varget powder supply.

I have never seen a consistent flow of varget here in Georgia. That's the only reason why I don't use it, I hear its fantastic. I use 4064 instead.

Miss the last few years, did ya?......Powder of ALL kinds has been hard to find and Varget, being REAL popular, is one of the harder ones to find on a regular basis.
 
I was getting low on H4831sc and IMR4064, so I stopped off by a small gun store in central Texas. I asked if they had any. The response was "sure, how much do you need"? They had mucho powder and a big delivery coming later this afternoon. What a pleasant change.

As for Varget, if you were close by, I'd give you a pound. I prefer 4064.
 
1 lb bottles of most powders here are $31-$33,
Reloder 15 is harder to find than varget, and varget is tough to find.

While I like varget, I find myself using more imr 4064 due to availibity and price.
 
I just ordered 8lb tub from cabelas a few days ago for $210. I wasnt looking for it but heck while it was in stock i couldnt pass it up. As of yesterday it was still listed as in stock. And no it didnt show up on gunbot. I just happened across it while looking for bullets. Varget shoots boringly consistant groups from my AR 308. I never could get mine to shoot 4064 very well. I also nabbed 8 lbs of unique in the same manner about a month ago. Really surprised cabelas had arguably the two hardest to come by powders there is. Right place right time i guess:confused:. And since i was paying the haz mat fee anyways i went ahead and bought some primers too :D
 
What's the retail price on a pound of Varget?

You either want it or you don't.........if you don't, get out of the line because the guy behind you is WILLING to pay the ASKING price for it..........called Econ 101 aka Supply and Demand
 
I was up at camp Perry before opening day & some venders were open. There was 2 venders that had it in stock anywhere from $23.00 to $30.00 a pound. One vender had every powder there was in stock. I'm going back up later this week to get some more powder & Sierra's TMK bullets.
