Somebody local was doing some Spring Cleaning and came upon a Winchester Model 1897 Trench Gun. Says it brought back a lot of bad memories and so he wants to get rid of it. No bayonet or sling....Anybody know what its worth?

Check this link to Gunbroker for current asking prices. Maybe you can find one in similar condition, etc. Range is pretty broad. Many are in the $350-400 area.

The Norinco clones, maybe. Genuine 97 trench guns are double that or more.

I have been collecting this type of firearms for years and if you could post some photos it would be easier to get honest apprasial. Too many variations to just give a ballparl figure. If your friend wants he can pm me with assurence of privacy and security.
