Value of unfired 40-yr old revolver?

My father is thinking about getting his CCW and told me the gun he planned to start carrying was an Iver Johnson he bought in 62/63. When he told me that he has never fired it, I said to hold off until I find out what its value is.

So, what would be the approx value of a 40-year-old Model 50 Sidewinder .22 breaktop? It is unfired. I don't know if he has the original box, he has the original papers and of course the gun is in mint condition.
 
It's not worth much, the latest Standard Catalog of Firearms has them listed at $100 in excellent condition. NIB would be worth a bit more, but it would be a stretch to get more than $150 for the gun. The 22nd Ed. of the Blue Book has them listed at $110 for one in 100% condition.

My advice? Shoot it, carry it, whatever you had planned. :)
