I have a line on a S+W 45acp model 25-2 1955 revolver.
It's in very good condition.
What is a fair price for this revolver?

Thanks in advance.

Of course the LOWER the better

I like to use the 400 rule for N frame 'smiths which have little collecter interest. Anything much past 425 should have something going for it like pre'60 [ sort of a cut-off for VERY well made Smiths], box and all paperwork, close to unfired or of special interest. I know that in some parts of the USA you can't find certain guns so it might be the 'ole " I've been looking for a 98%+ M25-2 for 20 years " so 450-475 would be OK. Just think of all the $1,000s that you've spent in gas...dewey

Blue Book value of 25-2:

100%: $450 (unfired in box)
98%: $400
95%: $350

BUT: for 6.5" pinned barrel, add $150.

For a nice specimen like my roomie's 6.5" pinned 25-2, I wouldn't sell for less than $500-$550 (depending on if it had original grips or not).
