Vacationing in Arkansas later this month - 2 legal questions re CCW and Nat'l Parks

OK, I'm going to take my first vacation in 3 and 1/2 years (first ever since I started my practice) starting April 26th, in Northwest Arkansas, with my bud, his kid, and the dogs. So can anyone from Arkansas or elsewhere tell me:

1. Whether my valid Oklahoma CCW will extend generally to Arkansas?
2. Is CCW carry allowed in state parks there? I am assuming, or at least hoping, yes.
3. Are guns / CCW carry allowed on the three different types of federal lands in Arkansas? Is the answer different for the different lands? I notice that there are National Park areas (such as Buffalo river), National Forest areas, such as Ozark Nat'l Forest, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-maintained areas (many of these). Which are the most lenient, if at all, in the unlikely event I have to use my gun for self-defense against a snake, or perhaps a 2-legged predator, etc.?
4. Would any of the above entities object to the dogs' being with me?

Thank you kind sirs and siresses in advance.

For #1, see www.packing.org
For #2, I don't know.
For #3, guns carried into National Parks in any fashion must be taken apart, or otherwise disabled. On other federal lands, state laws generally apply. See also http://www.thefiringline.com:8080/forums/showthread.php?threadid=26115

NW Arkansas is a great place! Your Oklahoma permit is valid in Arkansas. State firearms laws apply in the National Forests. In National Parks, however, you must leave your gun unloaded and secured in a seperate compartment of your vehicle. Ditto with land ownwed by the Corps of Engineers, unless you are hunting with it. State Parks I'm not sure of. I would check Arkansas statutes before I go.

Arkansas also has some strange notification requirements. For example, you are required by law to inform the resident of a private domicile that you are carrying a weapon prior to entering.

There is no substitute for having a copy of the law in your possession before you go. Generally though, you won't find many people with gun phobias in NW Arkansas. Those people have all moved to Washington DC.

I live in arkansas and ellsworthtohey is right. And i agree that the law about notifying people when you enter their home is strange.
