VA to MD handgun

Ship to an FFL -- or have your Virginia FFL do so -- in Maryland, after ensuring that the specific handgun is legal for sale in Maryland (I am not at all sure that Maryland has approved sidearm list, like California and Massachusetts, but I would suggest it would be wise to check this before executing the transaction).

Some of MD gun laws that you have to be aware of:

1. A person may not manufacture, sell or offer for sale a handgun manufactured after January 1, 1985, that is not included on the Handgun Roster of approved handguns. The roster is compiled by a Handgun Roster Board that is composed of the Secretary of the State Police and ten additional members appointed by the Governor of Maryland.

2. A regulated firearms dealer may not offer for sale or transfer any handgun manufactured on or before December 31, 2002, unless the handgun is offered for sale or transferred with an external safety lock. Beginning January 1, 2003, handguns manufactured after December 31, 2002, may only be sold or transferred if they have an internal mechanical safety device (there are external locks that are now approved but they will have to be installed before the handgun is transferred to the buyer).

That is so sad free people have to go through this crap.
What don't they understand about, ...."shall not be infringed."?
