This will vary from State to State and even the counties within the State. In the State of Oregon a unlawful use of a firearm will result in have your CCW license revoked, most likely be sent to a grand jury and in certain counties, attempted murder charges filed against you. If your intention is to carry or defend yourself with a firearm, go talk to a good criminal attorney to interpret the laws of your State and county. Those will be $200 well spent. Don't take the advice of a neighbor or family member in these matters, it will usually be wrong.
