OK I was at Turner's, Orange yesterday, a salesman said it was a good thing I picked up the USP Compact Stainless because they've been discontinued. Now the fullsize stainlesses have been discontinued and are not even on the CA approved list anymore (too dangerous for our children!) but this is the first I heard about the compacts being yanked. Another unfounded HK rumor?

The staff at most Turner's shops are not the best and brightest when it comes to firearms knowledge.
The guys in Orange are nice and all, but the ones I've dealt with don't seem to know a whole lot about what's going on in the firearms industry. They tried to tell me that the slide on the HE finished USP's was still stainless, just had a black coating on it. One recommended I take some steel wool to the slide and it would look AWESOME

When did HK decide to stop offering the USP with a Stainless slide in full size? Damn, I hate it when my using guns wind up becomeing "collectibles." Shades of Colt, man!
