USP MODS

Hey H&K guys I'm thinking of doing some mods to my USP 40 full size V3. Not sure what all is out there or where to start, or what I would get the best preformance from adding.. This wont be a EDC just paper targets..

Probably the most noticeable change would be to swap triggers. The HK match trigger is very nice. Hk will do it for you or you can buy the kit and DIY. Results in a very smooth pull and breaks very cleanly. Well worth the money IMHO.

My HK USP 40 came with Trijicon "night sights" (though, after 21 years, they probably need to be replaced). The only thing I've done to this pistol was to put a Pachmayr slide-on grip with molded finger "indentations" over the stock grip. This is a strictly personal "improvement" because, although the Pachmayr grip fits my largish hand well, it's not for everyone.

The H&K larger mag release lever assembly is a good change. I put mine in with little trouble and if I can do it, anybody can :p

Only possible downside is that such larger levers may keep the gun from fitting in some tight Kydex holsters. Maybe. I'm not sure.

But I feel I can drop the mag faster with the bigger levers.

I guess if you like LEM, keep it, but the SA triggers are much nicer for target shooting, especially the match trigger.
Heinie sights are nice too.
