USP ammo question

I had my first jams in my usp 45 compact yesterday,I have 2500 or so rounds through it and did not have a jam until I fed it winchesters win clean ammo.

I must admit I was disapointed because the first 20 or so rounds made me really like this stuff...........then it happened the next 80 rounds I had at least 5 jams.

I checked the mags and switched ammo and shot another hundred rounds without flaw.

Anyway has anyone else had a problem with winchester win clean?

Yep. Same thing you have experienced but in a USP .45 instead. It never happened with any other ammo. I have noticed WinClean is not-so-clean and underpowered. I avoid it like Wolf.:barf:

All of the problems that I have had with jam on my USP9c have been due to one of two things:

#1) High primers: the USP doesn't tolerate primers that are more than a few thousandths above flush. Run your finger over a bunch of the rounds to see if you run into the occasional high primer. If this is the problem, the round will usually chamber, but not fire.

#2) Short or Long Overall Length: If the bullet is seated out too far or in too deeply it won't chamber. You'll need calipers to measure.

yes

Under 1000 rounds through my USP .45 compact. Had my first two problems (fail to feeds), the last two times out. Both were with winclean. We learn as we go...
