First of all it works great as a walking stick. When hunting hills or open ground where a tree or bush can't be used as a shooting rest, you have two choices. First is an off hand shot at what ever distance. The second would be to use a shooting stick. Try using at your local shooting range from the standing position. It has worked well for me, and it will do the same for you. As with any new tool, practice makes perfect.
Here's a link to an extremelyy useful shooting stick that you can make yourself for only a few bucks. Shooting sticks work very well for a walking aid and to steady your shot. Wouldn't hunt without one.
