I picked up a used M-36 (police turn-in) a couple of weeks ago, and I have a couple of questions:
1. The serial number is the in the J30XXX range. Is there a way to tell the year of manufacture? I did a pretty thorough Google search.
2. I noticed that one of the cylinders positions will not allow the cylinder release to open it up. I tested several time, and it is consistantly the same postition. I looked at the face and everything appeared alright. Any ideas?
Other than that the lockup seems fairly tight, and at 15 yards, I can cover my shots with a three inch circle in DA. So it will most likely shoot better than I ever will. Plan to make it a nightstand gun so the cylinder latch thing probably isn't a fatal problem.
Thanks,
Joe
