I've been debating on what I've been wanting to pick up for a while now, and was almost decided until I came past this at a local dealer. It comes with one extra magazine, and appears to be in good condition.

The slide operates smoothly and I can see no dings or scratches on the frame or any moving parts. I didn't get a chance to inspect the barrel thoroughly but from what I was able to see, it did not seem pitted or abused. Over all it looked like the pistol was very well taken care of.

Buying one new from this shop would be well over $600 and the one listed on Buds Gun shop would still place me over $600 after FFl transfer fees.

What would you guys do? Is there anything I may have missed that may throw up a red flag on this seemingly good deal?

On a side note, I plan on using this pistol for target practice, and casual plinking. Eventually I hope to take Home defense courses and such with this handgun. I live in Arizona so carrying this concealed is not really an issue.

It sounds like a good deal to me. They are great guns and classic design. You shouldn't be disappointed. I love mine as well as my new Compact.

J & G Sales in Prescott was selling Police trade-in 92s last year for $349. They had a bunch of nicks and scratches on them, and faded night sights.

It sounds like the one you are looking at is in better shape, so $120 more wouldn't be a bad deal. I would just want to field-strip it to make sure of barrel and all internals, no signs of wear, cracks or abuse. If all checks out, it sounds OK.
