Used .32 Guardian

Cheaper yes, but the Autaga is a gun that is no longer in production. You break a firing pin who are you going to call?
Guess I should add Guardian to my signature!

You can still get Autauga parts. I just contacted Autauga Rifles today & am getting some extractor springs. Autauga Arms did stop making it & they are now just concentrating on their core business, custom rifles. The company was sold about 2 years ago. Technically the guns are still warrantied but repairs are not a very high priority though. I've got 2, both 100% reliable. They recommend Gold Dots but in any case, it was designed for hollow point only. The only known problem I've heard of is a slipping trigger bar on some but is supposed to be easily fixed.
The owner of Autauga Rifle is supposed to be negotiating with an unnamed manufacturer to sell the design so it may be back in production again one day.
I got a stock of spare parts about 1.5 years ago just in case but thought I'd add some extractor springs to my stock.

I'd stake my life on mine

I had the "carry package" done to my Guardian about a year ago. I use it as a backup gun with a mix of cor bon and standard FMJ bullets. I have fired many many rounds through it without a malfunction. How can I know this? Every time I go to the range I fire twenty rounds through it. I use it to protect my life so it has to be reliable. When I first bought it, I shot 500 to see if it would fail, never did.
I have used it for about two years and am totally confidant in it. You may question the .32ACP for stopping power but the Guardian is hands down reliable.
One other mod I made, I placed scateboard tape on the lower front grip, backstrap and sides of slide. Oh and yes, I reload for the .32 so it doesn't hurt as bad to shoot it alot.<G>;)

As far as a firing pin goes, for any gun, if you don't have a gunsmith who can make you one in a short time then you need a new gunsmith. Springs and screws can be hard to make, but a firing pin is as easy as it gets.
