Doing an unrelated search, I came across, this thread, and related ones. I wasn't planning on digging up an old thread even if I could, but I was interested in the results of the project. Did the ad fly, and what kind of response was recieved? Is there a continuation of this, or was it just the one time?

I'm unaware of anything happening.

A full page for USA Today would be more than the members of TFL could deliver, I suspect.

Why not shoot for a quarter-page ad in a local paper?

Write the script, tell us how much it will cost, set up a PayPal account, include the URL for TFL and your favorite RKBA groups (NRA, SAF, GOA, JPFO) and your e-mail address (a new one).

Heck, pick a paper in a liberal college town. This will let pro-gunnies who otherwise wouldn't be aware of all this to seek out like-minded individuals while promoting those groups and TFL.

I'm in for $50 if you can get this off the ground.

I'd be willing to help support an ad like that too. However, things have changed a little since 1999. Rather than say "no more" should we not push for repealing some of these laws?

In any case, I'd support a point-blank in-your-face RKBA ad because I am sick of watered down politically correct politiking. Say it like it is.
