US Military Set Up for Aimpoint On M4

Anybody know what kind of set up US military uses to mount Aimpoint sights on their M4 flattop?

The Army Uses The Aimpoint Railgrabber

The Aimpoint Comp M AKA M68 CCO (Close Combat Optic) is issued with the Aimpoint Railgrabber mount. The Railgrabber comes with a spacer and 4 longer hex screws to use when mounting to the Picatinney rail on the M4 or M4A1 upper receiver.

The mount is useable on the flattop without the spacer but the dot will not appear to sit on the tip of the front sight post. The M68 must be removed before the M4 can be locked in the rack. As long as it is retuned to the same slot on the Picatinney rail of the upper there is no problem returning it to zero. Many units mark the receiver or mount or both with a dot of paint or white out so that the M68 can be returned to the same slot.

It all depends on which branch of the Army has what. I personnaly have seen many Knights handgaurd systems and "Swan Sleeves" issued that have a few mods. on the rail system that civies cannot get though. In optics I have seen Aimpoints, Trijicons, & C-Mores not to mention a few others that I do not recognize that are all issue. But as I understand it the Aimpoint is most issued/prevalent. My Infantry buddy just mounted his on the reciever rail of his M-4 if I remember correctly.
