US Customs official sidearm

Hopefully we'll see those hk's on the market soon at good prices. I do love me some of them hammer fired hk's. And a real shame they are wanting to dump those fine pistols.

And a real shame they are wanting to dump those fine pistols.

They are fine pistols especially with the LE trigger, but the recoil on them is significant. Officers generally are more accurate with the tamer 9mm. I know a couple that long for the Glock 17's they used to carry. They are also having issues with the firing pins rusting out along the sea ports.

Think about that for a minute.

Maybe:

"They are having trouble convincing Customs Agents that firearms exposed to salt water environments require proper maintenance. Said, Agent Richard Head Jones, 'Who would have thought that humidity, moisture and salt water had any effect on steel? How are we supposed to know that?' "

Or did the steel of the gun actually rust out to dust after a few weeks?

A puzzler for sure!
