This really bites, I know a Reservist who was deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom and has voluntered for two tours down South America way. He met an married a local girl from a good family. It has been a year since they were married and he is still awaiting to get her into the country. Now I read this stuff....

"My son qualified for US Citizenship in December of 2004. He was denied entry into the US in January of 2005. His I-130 approval took until December 2005 and we are still waiting in line for an appointment in the US Embassy. People have been married outside of the US in December of 2005 and were already reunited in early March of 2006. Companies sponsor workers that get processed allowing them to enter the US to work in two or three month’s time."

To add insult to injury the US Government under this current administration was probably tripping over itself to admit an ex Taliban official so he could take college courses at Yale.

Well I guess that tells us Tax paying citizens where we rate since Mr. Bush wants to give illegal aliens amnesty

For the most part I agree with you, except the following:

To add insult to injury the US Government under this current administration was probably tripping over itself to admit an ex Taliban official so he could take college courses at Yale.

The ex-Taliban official is already in the states and is already attending Yale. It was the school that pushed very hard for him to get in, and I don't think the administration has much to do with it. John Fund, working for the Wall Street Journal, has been covering this guy, and I don't recall any connections to the administration. Don't try to make a connection where there isn't one.

Which means that some folks still get special favors....While the Soldier I know has to wait for a year or two.

Simple solution. fly her to Mexico and just walk across the border.
Then she gets amnesty.

Sad but true. When an American serviceman(or woman for that matter) marries, that person should be given automatic citizenship. At most the spouse should be given classes in American history and government and possibly go through a background check. If that person is willing to die for you and me, they deserve to marry whomever they please and be happy.
