I've got an opportunity to get a NIB 225, blued, for $429. Any comments on price? I've thought about a 239 but I like the feel of the 225 better. Any opinions would be appreciated. This dealer only has a few left so if I'm going to do it, I need to move.

Gosh yes, go for it! $429 is less than I paid for my P225--and I figured I was getting a good deal.

The P225 is a world-class pistol and not a purchase anyone is likely to regret.

It's a good deal and I can tell you Mike Middleton is a first class guy to deal with. I've bought a pair of 210's and a 225 off him. You'll love your 225, its a great gun.

Precision Armory has some of the best prices on SIG Sauer pistols, especially on NIB P225s.

So many pistols, so little money.

Go now! Don't stop. My 225 has not any jams or malfunctions in the year-and-a-half I've had it. It's a great gun -- a Hogue Handall is all that I've added to it (to add some bulk to the grip). Have ordered a set of Pachmayr grips -- hopefully it will add bulk without unsightly sleeve. Go now and enjoy later!

Friend of mine has P225 that's dog eared and it's never given him a single problem. I like them a lot. The only reason I haven't bought one is that the grip is too thin for my hand. The P228 fits much better.

michang,

Pachmayr grips are very chunky. It'll probably make the grip fit better.

Hello. I'm not a particularly "strong" SIG-Sauer fan, but of the ones I've owned, I only kept two: a P220 in .45 and the 9mm P225. I think it's one of the very best choices in a conventional DA/SA semiautomatic
and mine's proven both accurate and reliable with a wide variety of high-performance ammunition. The sights are entirely usable and were well-regulated from the factory. Go for the deal in my opinion. Best.
