Greetings GOA-Texas e-mail subscribers!

On 26 June 1999, Gun Owners Alliance sent an alert about Congresswoman
Sheila Jackson Lee coming to the George Brown Convention gunshow with
a male friend. Her male friend tried to buy a silencer "illegally" at
the show, by bypassing the required BATF paperwork. In fact, this act
was done deliberately to try and entrap someone, so Congresswoman
Sheila Jackson Lee could have "ammunition" to promote her anti-gun
agenda.

The alert is found at http://www.goa-texas.org/lee-1.htm If you do not
have web browser, we will be glad to send the OLD alert to you by e-mail.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

WE HAVE A VERY OBJECTIVE NEWS REPORTER THAT IS COVERING THIS STORY IN A
MAJOR NEWSPAPER. WE NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE WHO WITNESSED THIS
INCIDENT AT THE GUNSHOW ON 26 JUNE 1999, OR WHO CAN GET US IN TOUCH WITH
THE DEALER THAT JACKSON LEE'S MALE FRIEND TRIED TO "SET-UP", TO COMMIT AN
ILLEGAL ACT OF SELLING A SILENCER WITHOUT THE NECESSARY BATF PAPERWORK.

Please contact me, Chris W. Stark at maimailto:director@GOA-Texas.org
if you can assist us in this search. PLEASE HELP US WITH THIS SEARCH!

Here in TX, we sorely hate this woman. She puts herself up as being a modern-day Barbara Jorden, but she couldn't hold a candle to that late august dame.

This S.J.-Lee is a vicious thorn in the side of any legal gun-owner, period. It's worth the extra mile to find the dirt on this one; she's a baddy.

Will you, too, be one who stands in the gap?

nralife:

If this is true, and I certainly have no reason to doubt it...I hope you're able to substantiate it thoroughly. If able to substantiate this, I trust it will be reported to local/state/federal district attorneys and every angle pursued to have her sorry ass prosecuted for conspiracy to commit a felony or any other offense that she and her "companion" alledgedly committed will be vigorously pursued.

Oh yeah, if it is substantiated, be sure to hold a press conference and alert the media.

Good luck and please keep us posted.
Mike

The report says the male companion "TRIED" to buy a silencer illegally. Did he get one or not? I, for one , would like to know if the plan worked. It will make a world of difference in how this is handled.

No he didn't buy a silencer.

Contact Chris Stark if you can help or if you have any questions.

Well, boys and girls, we had a "special" guest at the George R. Brown
Convention Center Gunshow, in Houston, Texas today! Yep, you guessed
it by the title of this e-mail! Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of
the 18th Congressional District of Texas! Ms. Anti-Gun herself in
person! Don't know who the person was who she brought with her,
though.

In fact, so many were so "overjoyed" to see her come to our gunshow,
that they carefully watched her, and her "friend", and her moving to
and fro in the gunshow. Of course, that was done to help her in any
way we could, of course!

"I want to get a silencer. I want to take it home with me NOW", her
friend said to one of the dealers (not exact quote), as Congresswoman
Sheila Jackson Lee looked on. Several witnessed this very unusual
request from this companion of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Of
course, the dealers simply told the Congresswoman's companion what
kind of hoops that he would have to jump through, to have BATF approve
such a transaction. I am sure he was disappointed, since he wanted to
"take it home with him NOW."

Now, what was Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee up to, and what exactly
did her "companion" expect to accomplish?

Oh, my suspicions are simply getting the best of me! Surely, she, or
her companion was not trying to "entrap" someone in doing something
illegal! No way! Not Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee! And I guess my
"wild" suspicion of her taking such an "entrapment" to the media for
the promotion of an anti 2nd amendment agenda...NO! I must NOT think
like this!! It cannot be true! Heavens! Oh, and then I REALLY had a
wild thought! But I am sure it is NOT TRUE that she would use such
an entrapment (that never happened) as leverage in Congress to pass
anti-gun, anti 2nd amendment Legislation! NO WAY! NOPE! It's just
my uncontrolled and wild imagination!

Well, I am glad I got over that real quick! And, by the way, thanks
for coming, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee! Hope you decided to
buy something "legal", that could protect you and your loved ones,
like a G U N. Be sure to ask for our "personalized" attention to
help you select a good G U N the next time you visit us! Have a
great day!

Oh, and by the way. We will do our best this next election cycle to
find a "silencer" for you. In fact, we hope that you will be defeated
in the next election cycle by someone who really understands their
oath of office, and abides by it. Yes, that will really be quite a
"silencer" for you.

Be sure to send more of your friends so we can help them too! We
will be eagerly waiting!

Typical liberal c**p. Ask Randy Weaver where this sort of thing leads. I do not understand why the person trying to illegally circumvent the 1934 law regulating silencers and machine guns wasn't arrested by the BATF. Oh, that's right - liberals don't have to worry about the law because so few of them apply to liberals. LOL

Hi H&K Fan,

Federal law puts the primary burden of observing the law in a firearms sale on the seller, not the buyer. This is why the BATF needs to set up sting operations, where someone sells an illegal weapon to an undercover agent. They have tried to sell illegal weapons, but those cases didn't get far because they were or were close to entrapment. Entrapment involves a LEO putting into someone's head the idea to violate the law. Tempting a buyer with an illegal gun is pretty much doing that.

Jim

Just a fast question, is it not against the law to ATTEMPT to aquire a prohibited piece of equipment or firearm? Also, is it not against the law to attempt to aquire a prohibited piece of equipment or firearm under false pretenses? I would like to see this case remanded to the local district attorney for action.
