UPS

I'll be sending my Glock frame off to my gunsmith in a few days. This is the first time I've used UPS since they changed the "rules" regarding shipping handguns. My question is this? Do I have to declair my Glock frame as a handgun, or can I just label it as parts? I've heard that they are scanning all packages; does anyone know for sure?

As I recall it is the serial numbered part they consider the firearm. I have send slides and barrels through normal mail, but always use UPS and declare for the frame.

I talked to Federal Express recently and they said if it's not a complete weapon, you do not have to ship it overnight. Declare it as a pistol frame, insure it and ship it however you want... overnight, 2nd day, 3 day
