upland angles

Saw a article called upland angles which you use a trap thrower then you take some hola hoops and place them about 12 feet behind the thrower in a semi circle. You get 25 birds released one at the time but you get two shots at each one. the birds are released up to 3 seconds of delay from when called for at the discretion of the target puller also you have to keep your gun at waist height when you call for the target. Just wondering if any one had tried this and what they thought. R hoffler

sounds like a good way to practice.

personally if my buddy sees my gun is not in the process of being loaded i just hold it as if i was in the field and he will randomly throw the clays w/o any notice and always in a different direction. so the clay has a jump start while you are sitting there w/ the gun in a normal relaxed state. you then have to shoulder the gun, aquire the target, ect ect all the time the clay has got the jump on you.

i find it easier/more realistic to shoot like this than already having the gun mounted.
