The “first-ever” South Texas FAL/L1A1/FN-49 100 Yard Match last October was great fun, with absolutely perfect weather at the STMTC range within the Blackhawk Shooting Complex just south of San Antonio. There was plenty of room on the firing line as, unfortunately, a bunch of "probable entrants" had to drop out due to last minute conflicts.
Shooting a Venezuelan 7mm FN-49, Keith (of Houston) took home the first place prize of a Brownell's gift card.
