Update on the Boston Tea Party II

Instead of April 19th for this, it's NOW.

I know that trying to get gun owners to act in concert is like herding fleas across a field, but let's try on this one.

From the website:
"OK, people, it's "T-Day"! Mail out the packages to your US Senators and your US Representative between now and April 14. Keep watching this site for further details, or e-mail me and get on the list. We will be mailing more in a couple of days. By the way, this page and the others relating to the S&W sellout are NOT official pages of the BMRPA, and are a personal project of the Webmaster." http://nd.rifleshooting.com/teabag.htm

First to your own folks, and maybe one to your local newspaper.

Tally Ho!

The New World Order has a Third Reich odor.

Just had a thought. How about each of you contacting your state gun orgs and ask them to spread the word via their network.

I've asked all the big guys, GOA, Knox, NRA, etc., and the Kalif, AZ, and Michigan orgs
but don't know of any others without going to the search engines.

In fact, ANYBODY who has asked me for money
to fight the antis gets a return request from me about this effort.

I've even replied to a Bush request, more as a heads up so they don't get blindsided, if GWB starts getting a bunch (which is not a bad idea).

Have no shame. :) Ask any outfit that has a network to join in.

For the procrastinators. Just a bump to bring this to the surface again, in case you forgot. :)

There's only 4 more days to go.

I got a reply from GOA saying they would pass on (in the good sense of the word) my request to notify their membership request.

A stamp is 33c, a teabag 5c, plus a copy of the BOA - a cheap way to tell the pols ENOUGH!

This is the letter that goes with the tea! (copy/paste below and print out)

**********************************
December 16, 1773, a group of honorable men who could stand no more oppression became criminals by
planning and carrying out the Boston Tea Party. In their pursuit of freedom, they risked the loss of their
property, their liberty, and even their lives at the hands of a tyrannical and intolerant government. They were
men of peace who simply could not stand idly by while their dignity and that of their community was further
debased. They had tried to pursue their grievances through the legal system, only to find it corrupt and
unresponsive. They had petitioned the government, only to see the oppression increase. The arrogance and
cruelty of the government had increased to the point that direct action was their only honorable option. Our
nation is not to that point, yet. You have received the attached document as evidence of this administration's
intent to thwart the will of the people and to circumvent Congress. The attached document is simply another
refusal by the current administration to uphold the Constitution which those brave men and others
established. The tea bag is a small symbol, and a plea: Do not continue to ignore the intolerable and
disgraceful manner in which this administration has willfully subverted the Constitution. The current
administration has disgraced our nation and our people. You will receive many of these reminders, because
many of us still believe our nation can be salvaged without conflict. We are not an organization, except insofar
as we are all concerned Americans. We fear that continued indignities will provoke violence in less patient
groups, as they see their government proceed in self-serving abuse of the Constitution, riding roughshod over
the rights of the people. Callous disregard for the people's sacred rights has robbed many of our neighbors of
all respect for government. We, as law-abiding citizens of this great country, fear for our liberty and for our
nation. Our nation needs responsible and accountable leaders. We humbly ask you and your colleagues in
Congress to return to the values put forth in the Constitution, denounce this and other examples of the current
president's evasion of due process of law, and affirm your commitment to 'the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves
and our Posterity'.

Perhaps I'll send some of my used teabags, dried out, of course. Wouldn't want them to get to enjoy any that I sent them.
