Update on ShooterStore orders of $7.65/bx 357SIG

I hadn't received my order of Blazer ammo purchased from ShooterStore.com at $7.65 a box after two weeks, so I followed up. (Seeing a no-loose situation, I bought 40 boxes.)

They replied promptly that all manufacturers were backlogged. I replied, asking about whether they were cancelling the order, or whether it would, in fact, be fulfilled. This is their response:

We will fulfill your order at an undetermined time.

Concerning .357 Sig Ammunition:

The entire industry is behind in production on the .357 Sig Ammo. Even the reloading manufacturers have stopped producing it due to lack of brass casings. Our back orders are extremely high and there are currently no
ship dates on this ammunition yet.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Thank you!

Seems reasonable. I will, as promised, keep you all informed of the progress. If this operation can offer incredible prices AND deliver, this effort is worthwhile.

Joseph, why would an alleged lack of BRASS cases hinder the manufacture of Blazer ammo, which uses ALUMINUM cases?

I guess my stash of .357 SIG cases is worth more than I thought...

How many times do us reloaders have to tell you: SAVE YOUR BRASS!!! It's worth something to someone, and that means it's worth something to you, too!

I had no idea .357Sig was so hard to find, but if this deal works out, you got yourself a great price on that stuff. Kudos to you for getting your order in early. Take care,

Tried finding the website for ShooterStore.com, thought I'd see what there ammo prices looked like - computer puked up no known address. Can anybody help me out here with the correct address. Thanks

Well, ya'll won't believe this update! It's now almost 3 months since I ordered the rounds from Shooters, when, lo and behold, here comes the UPS man today with the ammo.

I thought they would never deliver, but here's the best part. They didn't charge me the $7.65 per box, but rather 6.75 a box. The thousand rounds for $135 including shipping!

I don't know if they transposed the 7 and the 6. At any rate, this has been a very good deal! Their current price is $11.23 a box.

One very satisfied customer.

I got my 500 rounds at 7.65 a box also. Should've ordered more at the time, but I guess this'll do for now.
BTW, have the prices from ShooterStore gone up since then?

I have found that the 357SIG ammo to be plentiful and the price dropping quickly. Went the gunshow this weekend, and found plenty and cheap. Lots of reloads and factory. I guess since the TX dps switched to it, there is a larger market here in Texas. Every time I shoot it, people want to know what it is.

Good I just bought a Sig Pro 2340 with the .357 sig barrel. I was wondering where I could find the ammo cheap. They got it at the shop where ai got the gun for $10.50 per box. I'll try this link and see if I can do better but it looks like I missed that boat.

Until the antis put a sign in their front yard that says they don't own guns, they are riding on the shirt-tail of the safety that we provide by owning them.
