I would like to thank many of you for the info on my old 12 ga. crescent arms gun. To answer a few questions, this gun will not be fired. I have looked it over very carfully and will dissable it someway. The wood is of such good quality, although very rough, that I will save it. This is my specialty. The metal work is going well and I just finished cold bluing the barrels. They turned out better than I expected The old sidelocks are just lovely, my first encounter with sidelocks, minus 1 hammer. I will try one of the things mentioned to buy or make one. Thank you all for the help. Jack
