Update on my Mother, and many thanks...

Just heard from my Father, who was with Mom at the hospital (I didn't go, she wanted me to stay with the dogs, more on that below).

Mom's out of surgery, doing well. She's staying overnight, and we'll pick her up tomorrow.

We'll know a little more, of course, in a week or two after the final lab work comes back, but the doctors were pretty optimistic about the tumor being contained.

I didn't go to the hospital, as I mentioned, because Mom felt I would be more use staying with the dogs. Mom and Dad have four greyhounds, and I have my two up, as well.

I wasn't all that happy about not going, but hey, gotta listen to Mom....

She, Dad, and I all extend our thanks to all of you for your well wishes.

ArmySon, thanks for the offer of shooting, but I'm in Lewistown, and you're in, I believe, the Philly area. That would be kind of tough for you, and I don't have a shooting range up here. The town gets kind of antsy when people start shooting in their backyards. (G!)

Mike,
Glad to hear there were no problems with the operation, and I hope your mom has a complete and speedy recovery.
Prayers will continue. :)

Good to hear. Let your mom know she's got lots of people rootin' for her.

My mom had colon cancer and she was lucky enough to have it cut out. She went through chemo, had a shot in the hand every week for a year. Everything has been good so far and no signs of the cancer returning. Hope your mom is as lucky as mine. Good Luck!
