Update on my case (California CCW lawsuit)

This URL will take you to an exhaustive analysis of Sheriff Rupf's current CCW policies and procedures manual. Tearing this thing apart in court will be the single biggest issue in my case; I feel that some bits of it as quoted put the Sheriff in serious legal and constitutional trouble.

COMMENTS WELCOME. This item is *unlinked* from the rest of my site, it's at least moderate security being released only to some RKBA groups for comment.

GO JIM GO!!!!!

Does the policy of issuing permits to former LEO's voilate equal protection? Seems that it would because once retired or resigned they no longer have any additional 'powers'.

That's a damn good question.

Retired Calif. cops get shall-issue carry rights under a completely different set of statutes. There's no legislative authority for preference for CURRENT prosecutors, never mind retired ones...or former federal agents. Rupf specifically shows favoritism to both.

Will the courts actually nail him for it? Maybe.

We'll see.
