Well guys I have been looking into getting my first hi-powered rifle now for a few weeks it was a toss up between .243 Remington BDL/ADL and Savage 110 and I was about to hand the money over for the Savage and changed my mind, I didn't like the idea of a long action with a short action caliper, I didn't like the trigger, the stock was ok. So I ended up putting a deposit on a Remington ADL .243 in a synthetic stock it has open sites I paid $365.00 for it. I plan on putting a Swift 3x9x40 on it. I like the action and the trigger is also pretty nice.
If I decide I like shooting rifles I will look into a BDL. But for now this will be great for practice and some light hunting when I gain more experience with a rifle.
I have been shooting pistols for about 2 yrs now and only shot a few rifles (not counting .22's)
Thanks everyone for your advice.
Scott
