Upcoming Walther P22 - Any Info?

Can anyone give me any information on the new Walther P22 .22 caliber pistol that is due to hit the market in the next couple of months? I understand that it will be at a very attractive price point (around $200 US).

I asked about it at the pro shop at a range where I shoot, and the guy's first response was "Never hear of it", I told him what I had read about it in the SHOT Show reports, and his next comment was "Well, I think there are better pistols out there." Come to think of it, they don't carry Walther...

Oh WOW!!!

I finally have a reason to let my Father by my Ruger MKII Government model .22 pistol!!!

I MUST have one... Don't worry though, I'll get in line behind you guys. ;)
 
From my local dealer a couple of weeks ago, he quoted me :

3" : $219
5" : $269
1st: $329

This is his store price (i.e., delivered with markup). His uptake is usually ~20%. Tax is extra.
 
See what happens to prices when the guns first come out? I guess that you have to pay a premium to be the first kid on the block with a new toy.
