Unusual handgun

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some help on a handgun I inherited recently. Its quite unusual and I have never seen the like before and I would like to try to get it identified. Is there any website that might be willing for me to send pics of it? No brand name is evident, its a single shot cartridge, maybe around the 6.5mm range. The breech system is something I have never seen before requiring the operator to cock the hammer then swing the breech plate out to one side prior to loading. There are some unusual markings on the barrel and I am not sure what they are. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

This website right here. Post the pics and one of our resident nerds should have a full write up on it by close of business.

It appears to be a German or Belgian made Flobert-type parlor pistol.

They used cartridges, generally with round lead balls, powered by priming compound only, no powder.

Indoor "parlor" shooting was very popular at one time and there were lots of very inexpensive (and some very expensive) handguns and small rifles made for the sport.

The pistol did turn out to be a Flobert. made between 1895 to 1905. This one was most likely made in Belgium. Its a 6mm Bosquette pistol also called a "Pistol Cyclist". Thanks for the help in getting me pointed in the right direction:)
