Unfortunately, $115 won't even get you a J&G Sales or SOG Mak shipped anymore. You have to buy two to get the $99 price, and most of their $110 Maks are not unissued, nor do they come with matching mags (for those to whom that's important). If you want an essentially new-in-box Makarov with all the usual accessories, $159 is not out of line. I've seen, and bought some of, the Bulgarian Maks that Bill carries. They are all unissued, still covered in cosmoline, with two matching mags (as compared to the other shops' one non-matching mag), holster, cleaning rod, etc. If you go to Makarov.com's discussion board, you'll find that Bill has a good number of pleased customers there.

As long as the guns are in good shape. It is tough buying sight unseen with the commy guns. You never know what you will get. Plus restocking fees and shipping back if it is a dog add up fast.
 
Slickpuppy: In all honesty, I've bought more than my fair share of guns from Bill and they've all been exactly as advertised. A good thing to do if you're interested, would be to go to the Mak board and ask for opinions from those who have bought from Bill in the past.

I've got a Bulgie unissued. Great pistol, so I've sometimes thought about those J&G specials--just as a backup and a shooter. Are those military arsenal or commercial production? My understanding is that both were produced in Bulgaria.

As for Bill's price, $159 is reasonable. It's getting harder to find the unissued Bulgies, and they are well worth that price. They clean up really nice. A deep lustrous blue on mine.

i paid $149 a year ago got 4 mags though

seems to be harder to get now

just dont insult the guy with that offer

he will easily sell it to someone else
