Unknown 410 Bolt Action Shotgun

[410BoltAction]

This was given to me by my great grandfather. It has no markings or serial numbers. It looks like it holds 2-3 shells in the body and one in the chamber. Not knowing anything about Shotguns I have no idea what year or make it is...but I'm guessing 1935-1940. It has been modified to a pistol grip. Can anyone tell me what Year and Make it is?? Thanks!!

I used to have a mossberg bolt action 20 gauge that looked alot like it.

Any dates, stamps, or symbols would be helpful.

Is the safety behind the bolt? Little tab that moves left and right?
Does it happen to have a pair of little plastic dots, red and green to indicate fire/safe?
If so, you are leaning towards the mossberg.

Make sure you check to see that it makes minimum length requirements as well.

a mossberg the stock forward of the trigger guard is mossberg.I have several mossberg 22 rifles.and the stocks have that configuration.Its not a savage as I have one.
