It was reported last year that Hodgdon Universal Clays powder was being discontinued. I just ordered 4 lbs from Big Rock Sports. So is it being discontinued or not?
 
They have contracted IMR in Canada to make all the Clays family, including Universal, because ADI is changing their lineup.
 
Note that when a powder changes manufacturing source it's not uncommon for its characteristics to change a bit. Work loads back up with the new stuff carefully. Look at the can for country of origin (Australia or Canada) to tell the ADI from the IMR.
 
Yes, I read the other day that American Accurate powders were not quite the same as previous Imported Accurate, even though they are nominally the same specification and carry the same grade numbers.
Hodgdon might be a little different too.
