Universal Background Checks????

So, what does this mean? My take on it is if passed, whenever I want to sell or give my weapon to a friend/neighbor, I will need to go down to the local (for me it is 1/2 hour away) FFL and pay $$ to make this happen.

If at a gun show, instead of my ensuring the purchaser is from my State (Idaho) which is the current law, I will now have the privilege of paying $$ to an FFL and $$ to the Government (sucking more $$ out of my wallet) to make the sale. Now everything I do will be on a data base that the Government has.

I will not conform to this and they (the Govt) can arrest me and so be it!

What is your take on this? Am I wrong?

Two things...

#1 - there's already a discussion about this is general.

#2 - At this point, what it's going to entail is anyone's guess. Nobody in congress has really spelled out what's involved and who's supposed to enforce it.
