Underwood ammo?

Someone suggested it in another thread and I checked it out. Their prices are really low if this is premium ammo. They have 500s&w cheaper than anyone I've found and I might get some SD ammo for my 40 also. Anyone have any experience with them?

Why would you skimp on SD ammo? I realize people routinely fire sd to ensure compatibility w/ your edc etc...

Now for range use, garbage in garbage out :D

I was asking about the ammo because I don't know if it's garbage or not. Are you telling me that you have used this ammo and it's garbage? I won't skimp on quality for SD ammo but I'm not afraid to save money either.

I use his ammo in 165gr S&W JHP (once fired brass) for range use and it works fine. Never had a problem from my g27 or my s/a emp 40. Clean and accurate stuff. Now for S/D I agree buy new.

May I suggest if your looking for reasonably priced ammo, take a look at Freedom Munitions.

I did a quick comparison, and they easily beat Underwood.

Underwood 10mm is some of the hottest 10mm ammo you will ever get your hands on. Right up at the limit of SAMMI specs. You can feel a massive difference between it and Double-Tap. It is some powerful stuff. I know because I have tried everything they have in normal JHP from 135-200 grains, and most of the stuff Double-Tap has in that range as well, on the same day too.

As to their other calibers, I can not speak to them directly.

And as to the comment about once-fired brass. Underwood is pretty new and pretty small so they may do some reloading. However, if you are getting reloaded brass they will tell you in the listing. Also I know for certain that they used to offer a service where you sent them your old brass and they reloaded it for you. I am not sure if they still do that, or if they reload in any way at all. I know all 800 rounds I have bought from them in 10mm were all new brass.

i am very interested in the underwood 9mm gold dot...according to the website it is new manufactured ammo...

i have seen a bunch of good reviews on it and if it is indeed some hot high quality ammo, the price is awesome...a little more than 50 cents around for gold dots...

ill be buying 100 of the 124+p to see how they like my ppq

I just purchased some 10mm FMJ and Gold Dots from Underwood. Unfortunately, I don't own a 10mm pistol just yet (in layaway). I was pleased with a visual inspection but don't know how the ammo shoots.
