Uncomfortable Conversation

So my wife just said to me, "I counted your guns today".

After a 4 month hiatus from the range, I decided to go shooting this morning. I apparently left the safe open when I left- I was trying to get to the range before anyone else showed up. I was gone for 2 hours. That was enough time for her to stumble across the open door in the basement. Not counting the 4 I had with me when I left, she came up with 23 and her estimate was 28. I did my own count just now and came up with 31. She is not pleased. I guess it's time to buy some diamonds....

Sigh. Can't shoot those.

Good move and sometimes you have to bribe the Judge. My wife comes home with a new purse every week and whenever I make the mistake of questioning her about them, she repies; Do I say anything when you buy a gun?"
Case closed and when Momma aint happy, no body is happy.

My wife don't like guns fortunately she is ok with me owning one. I mentioned I might want a wheel and she was like ok.
 
Oh man...to swamp yankee...im offering u my condolence on the loss of your future ar15 or new .45.....those dang diamonds:barf:.....have been responsible for alot of losses....gota keep your wife happy tho...look for a silver lining tho...those diamonds may be your key to a new safe queen :)
 
Hah. I've had that same discussion with my wife. Her reasoning is "just how many can you shoot at one time?" or "just how many do you need?". I must admit that I can offer no valid reason. BUT, I simply cannot allow rational thought to muddle my way of thinking now can I? Hah, yeah right!

But seriously, she does make one very valid point though, and that is I should buy more "booolits".
 
If my wife got mad at 25 guns, I would have had to divorce her. Good luck with your situation.

We've been together for 15 years. Before we had kids, she didn't care. Heck, she's a crack shot with an AR-15. Once we had kids, guns were a bad thing. She was not happy with the 1st one. The 31st didn't seem to upset her anymore than the first. What upset her was that fact that 31 guns amounts to many thousands of dollars...

It took less than 45 minutes for a net nanny to find something to complain about.

I had to buy my wife a new car...
 
I love guns, my wife loves diamond jewelry. Its' a one-for-one deal we have going. When she mentions going to Zales to look at rings, I mention going to the gun store. We both get to add to our collection that way. Works out good for both of us, except it's not cheap hobbies!
 
Lmao, man, I think we all have a similar problem. The goofy thing is, my wife knows the combination to the safe! She can count them anytime she wants, lol. Upside, she wants me to buy more ammo too, and get herself her own Python. Which will be awesome, so she'll leave mine alone, lol!

Downside, she also wants more diamonds. Lol, can't seem to shake that no matter what!

You're getting off easy, the last gun I bought I had to get my wife a new veterinary bag, the next gun I get she's upped the ante...... she wants a new autoclave for her clinic:eek:

But then again she does want a new auto birdgun :D
