Subject: UN Security Council To Confirm Election?

Friends,

Soon, the UN will confirm all major elections, then all elections.
Remember when there was talk of a World Court? Now we have one.
Remember when there was talk of an actual UN Force. Now, we
have one.

First, we are conditioned, then we are subject to __ the next
step of the UN taking of our Liberty and our country.

Russian Nationalists Demand Right to Observe
'Undemocratic' US Elections http://www.russiatoday.com /news.php3?id=212773

MOSCOW (Agence France Presse) - Nationalists in
Russia's parliament have drafted a resolution demanding
the right to observe the U.S. presidential elections,
voicing "profound concern" they will be falsified, Interfax
reported Tuesday.
The resolution says the State Duma (lower house) has
"profound concern about the danger of falsification of the
results of the U.S. presidential elections, particularly in
Texas and California and other territories that were
forced to join the United States."
It adds that since the United States is a world
superpower, "the presidential election campaign in the
U.S. must not be considered an exclusive internal affair
of that country."
The Duma draft, which is yet to come up for a vote,
suggests the UN Security Council should confirm the
November 7 presidential ballot before it can be declared
valid. ((c) 2000 Agence France Presse)

The explanation may be as simple as staging a show to convince people that the
election process is honest, and dispel the growing suspicions that it is not.
All of the many players are acting as though the system is not rigged, and it
seems likely that their act will have that placating effect.
Of course, it is also possible most of them don't know it is fixed. Not that
many people need to know to pull it off.
It would be interesting if this little drama backfires on them and blows the
lid off rigged elections generally. We are getting a lot of hits to our web
site, reading _Votescam_ http://www.constitution.org/vote/votescam__.htm

Dear Friends,
Many people are asking me what can be done to protect the U.S. Constitution
and preserve the integrity of our electoral process. One thing is certain
in this regard: Don't allow the courts and the establishment press to
declare a revote or illegally award votes to Al Gore. Go to http://www.electionintegrity2000.com/home/f.cfm
right now to see how you can help.
The email from my friend Bruce Eberle below has more info on this
topic. Pass this urgent message on to your friends right now.

Before you label me paranoid, re-read the title to this thread. Do you see the question mark? It means that this is not a statement of fact, but a question of validity.

I'm one guy. I don't know everything. I do not subscribe to this newsletter, but it was passed on to me.

We promote intellegent reasoned discussion here, so what happened to it in the last two posts? (<-note the question mark)

I don't expect social meltdown over this highly unusual election and all its evidences that point to questionable practices. But given the last eight years and the political trends toward a "world government" I would expect something to edge us closer to this goal that has been created for us and pushed for by world politicos.

It might be a far-fetched idea now, or seem impossible, but I have heard a phrase that the gun-bigots use all the time, "It can't happen here in America!"

Given the political climate, I'm not so inclined to brush things off so easily.

So, where are the reasoned responses?

You don't seem to me to be stuck in a 'selfdestruct' cycle-just aware.

Some S. African newspapers are chiding thier government for not having officially offered international observers to the U.S. It's mostly a publicity stunt, a way of saying "Haha U.S., you think you're so much better than the rest of us and insist we need international observers in order to hold fair elections--look what happened to you!!!" A bit immature and a way to fire up nationalist anti-U.S. sentiments--which makes it considerably less amusing. For the record, in most countries that use international observors the U.N. Security Council is not involved and doesn't have to certify the results. It's more a way of proving to the international press the fairness and protecting people from possible harassment (paramilitaries tend to avoid beating up internationals) than any actual power.

We may no longer be taken seriously by other countries when we insist on them conducting fair democratic elections: the fairness of our own is in question (mostly an absurdity, but still in question), and we're about to declare that the President is the guy who did NOT win the popular vote. We may have very good reasons for this, but the rest of the world won't accept the explainations and won't take us seriously anymore when it comes to elections.

Or simply another case of anti-UN hysteria?

Who knows...
