UN EVILS

What a bunch of paranoid garbage.
I train at Ft Drum about half the year with my guard unit. We aren't being overrun with foreign vehicles. Yes, the military buys foreign equipment. Items I can think of are the "C" engineer construction vehicle , the SAW AR,and M9 hangun ,both a foreign design, and the new light wheeled anti-tank vehicle will most likely be a foreign design. Why? Well maybe the US doesn't always make the best stuff. Sure, we should try to buy American where possible, since in wartime our supplier might be affected, or even be on the "other side". But to say that we should never buy outside the American shores is silly.
As for Ft Polk, it is the site of the Joint Readiness Training Center . Joint Readiness obviously means you're going to be working (duh) jointly with other units, including other nations troops. The training is aimed at handling small guerilla conflicts such as Bosnia and Kosovo, not training foreign troops on how to handle the American public, as is implied. Could the same training translate to something here? Of course. But that is not the scenario.
This guy needs to get a life.

Ahhhh!

A breath of fresh air in the form of Common Sense from tcsd1236.

I understand that you don't necessarily believe those links, internetfish, and they are scary. But so is an invasion from Mars. ;)

There isn't a bogeyman behind every tree, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't stay aware...

ok Blue
oh, and I forgot to mention that at Polk, they use real Russian stuff to enhance the training. I wouldn't doubt that that is where a lot of this foreign armor and materiel is headed.
