Ultra Compact Ammo

I recently purchased a Springfield Armory Ultra Compact Loaded and have a question. Has anyone had any problems shooting 230 grn rounds. I reload 230 grn with 5.6 grns
of Win231. Also, any comments would be appreciated. Good bad or indifferent.

Welcome to the forums, Andy!

For practice, I load 5.5 gr W231 with a 200 Gr RN copper-plate bullet. Function in my Para P12 is flawless. Recoil is mild, but enough power for complete functional reliability. I find W231 to be a very clean powder.

I load factory ammo for carry.

Not sure what the weight on the Springfield is, but in my Ultra CDP Kimber I find 230 grain a bit hard on the hands. For practice I use a 200 grain LSWC. For serious use 185 grain XTP's.
