so... I decided to go out on a limb and make an offer on a NIB Sig Sauer P2022 with 350 rounds of Blazer Brass and 20 rounds of Sig V crown ammo. I wasn't expecting the yes and instantly started feeling those cognitive dissonances coming on. I've been waiting for a Sig to come along at the right price for years and this one fits all the criteria, except that it's on the very bottom of the list of models I am interested in. on the other hand I'm trying to budget myself and this is the third firearm that's followed me home in the last 2 weeks:eek:
all things considered I think I'll be pretty happy with it once I've had the chance to shoot it, I just wish I didn't have situations present themselves which force me to put a lock on my wallet. :D pictures and range review coming soon.

As far as impulse purchases go you could have done a lot worse. FWIW, I've tried the P226 twice and have ditched both and stayed with the SP2022 platform.

I think you did good. I'd take the SP2022 over the P226 any day (I used to have a P226, I liked it but never loved it). While it is polymer, it is very much a traditional SIG in design and feel. Look at it as a gateway gun:cool:

Believe me, I understand the impulse to buy. I mostly stayed away from gun forums, etc. for a few months, partly for that reason. Now, I'm thinking of getting three or four handguns --- but I'm going to remain strong. ;)
