Uberti Yellowboy - Needs some serious TLC

Got kind of a beast on my hands here. This is a Uberti 1866 Yellowboy, .38 Special, that my father picked up some time back in the 1970s and hasn't touched since. It appears to be an older, out-of-production model in that it has no lever hook/latch and has an 1894 type grip/battery safety. Serial number is in the 16xx range and it was imported by Navy Arms.

  • The bolt appears to be slightly damaged.
  • The left lever spring appears to be incorrect (possibly a part off the .22LR version made at the time?)
  • The right lever spring is completely missing.
  • The screw and its corresponding hole in the ladle/loading gate are stripped out.
I'll let the pictures below fill in the details.

I don't particularly want to have to send it back to Navy Arms for repair, and I'm quite competent in replacing the parts myself. The question is, will current production parts even fit this? If not, will I even be able to find them anywhere?

I don't think Navy Arms even exists any more, although Val Forgett's son lives in West Virginia and is still selling off inventory on eBay and possibly Gun Broker.
