Looking at the Umberti website it does appear that their cartridge pistols are all single actions. Some have the "SA" as part of the name, so that is a dead giveaway.
Other than that I look at the trigger and see how much of a gap they have. Double actions tend to have a wide space behind the trigger to the back of the trigger guard. That is to give you the length of pull you need to rotate the cylinder over to the next round. Single actions don't have that.

All the Ubertis sold here are single action. They do make a copy of the Colt Detective Special but it is not imported to USA.
At one time High Standard made the Double Nine, a double action .22 faked up to look like a SAA, and H&R had some, too.
The Mattell Fanner 50 was double action, too.
Sorry, if you want a double action revolver you are going to have to get a "modern" one on a design only a hundred years old.

Or you could purchase an original Colt , Smith, or Remington D.A. that's about the only way you can shoot D.A with a Cowboy looking gun.
The name Uberti covers alotta guns - only one i's steer clear of is any marked ASM- There have been alot of bad feelins on this particular "model" Just my 2 bitsDouble Action Percussion Revolvers

In cap and ball about the only choice is the Starr DA from Pietta. These are well fit and finished and the DA model has what I would call idiosyncrasies.
Not a good choice for the first time C&B owner.
