Uberti 1873 carbine rear sight issue

I recently got an uberti 1873 winchester carbine through an online auction. The price was very low and the rifle is in like new condition, not a scratch on it.

The only thing that bothered me when I got the rifle was the rear sight. It is not sitting completely level. Like so many lever actions that I see, the rear sight dovetail is canted slightly to the side. I know it is a common issue, but ubertis are so good in fit and finish that I wasn't expecting to see it on this rifle.

Anyone else notice this issue on an uberti 1873 that you have?

Aren't they made in the land of wine with lunch?
A dovetail slot that's been cut that way can be straightened out with a dovetail file.
It's not hard to do.

I had a Uberti Henry rifle that had that problem. I currently have a Uberti 1866 rifle that has one side of the dovetail slightly forward of the other side. Didn't effect the accuracy on either of them. You can still sight them in just fine.
