TZ99 and S&B ammo

Does anyone who owns a TZ99 have any problems with S&B 9x19? I bought 500 rounds of S&B, and my TZ99 chokes on it. It fails to extract and tries to load another round in behind the empty shell. I have to lock back the slide, pop out the mag, close the slide, and open it again - then the extractor works.

TZ99 has had about 400 rounds through it, about 200 Wolf and 200 Winchester cheap stuff at Walmart. No problems with either of those.

My TZ-99 digested a wide variety of ammo and never choked. Try switching to a different brand of ammo and see if the problem continues.

Thanks. I will try to get ahold of more Winchester to make sure it works with that. Wish I hadn't bought 500 rounds of the S&B :(

Can I ask a favor? What is the shape of the bottom of the extractor? Mine looks rounded; is it supposed to be that way?
 
Foxy: Unfortunately, I can't answer that as I traded mine toward a SIG 245 a short while back. Try asking your question on the General Discussion board at HS2000-Talk. I know that several of the members there own TZ-99s.

Foxy,i took my TZ-99 to the range tonight(damn if that gun doesn't have a smooooooooth trigger!).I put both S&B and UMC 115 grain fmj through it with no problems.The gun was flawless.Hope you get your problem resolved.
 
In retrospect, I probably should have kept the TZ-99 and paid for the SIG 245 outright. But the dealer offered me more than I had into it and I already had a number of hi-cap 9mm pistols, so... the TZ became expendable.

It was definitely an accurate and easy to fire pistol. Well worth the $269 price that AIM Surplus is asking for them. I'll probably end up with another one some day.

Foxy ur extractor is fine , mine looks rounded

i took Markos advice over at HS talk got my self a TZ
its no 226 but a damn good gun.

No probs with S&B my TZ likes it so do my 3 HS's, 2 Sigs, 1 BHP
S&B makes decent brass .223 for my AR's
only put wolf in my AK's

The only ammo i have ever had probs with was 124 Greek(olympic)

Wallyworld dosnt sell ammo in NY never tried white box

Try American Eagle(cheap and clean) $4.99 box on some sites

i really like the Fiocchi 115 shoots great in all my guns
