Hi all, I am trying to date a S&W top break, 5 shot, hammerless 32. The serial number begins with 730xx. Would anyone happen to know the year of manufacture or where I could find this information? Thanks a lot!
Got to have more information to answer that. S&W made several different .32 top break pistols at the same time with over lapping serial numbers. Can you tell us and any other markings you see. Post pictures if you can that will help a lot. I am guessing from what you have said that it is probably a .32 Safety Hammerless made sometime 1902-1909 but that is just a guess.
